How to use the HIV self-testing kit
1 SWAB
Brush your upper gum up and down from left to right and then right to left
Then brush your lower gum up and down from left to right and then right to left
2WAIT
Put the brush in the test tube
Move the brush in the test tube fluid up and down 8 times
Take a "test strip" and gently dip it in the test tube
Wait for 20 mins
*Do not wait for more than 40 minutes3RESULT
If there is one line on the swab it means you are HIV negative. It is recommended to repeat the test after 3 months, if you're at risk of HIV.
If two lines appear, you are screened HIV positive. You will need to take a confirmatory test at a clinic as soon as possible.
